2026 Outdoor Field Status
Current field status of EMFC Practice and Game fields

For all EMFC Developmental and Competitive league practices or technical sessions:
- If OPEN: Proceed to assigned field.
- If CLOSED: Event is canceled/rescheduled.
Coaches or technical staff may abandon the practice session if conditions become unsafe.
Referees may abandon games if conditions become unsafe.

When the FIELD Status has been updated to CLOSED, team practice sessions will be moved indoors to the EMFC Development Centre. (located at #5, 640 - 28 Street NE, Calgary, AB T2A 6R3)
Please use the following schedule to determine your Team's replacement practice time INSIDE.
Only Team / Coach lead sessions will be moved inside. Technical sessions \ Goalkeeper training will be rescheduled.
Check the Field Status prior to every game—even if it's sunny. City fields may close unexpectedly.
U13-U19 Games - City Field / Athletic Park Status: Call the closure line: 403-268-2300 (Instructions: Press 2, then 1, then select your field number.)
U10-U12 Games - CMSA Clubs Field Status: Please go to the website of the home team to check for field closures
These games are played on community fields. Club websites can be found HERE.
Activities may also be canceled or suspended due to the following safety concerns:
- Poor Air Quality: Based on the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI).
- Extreme Heat: When temperatures exceed safe playing thresholds.
- Lightning: Based on the "When Thunder Roars Go Indoors" rule or severe weather warnings.
